There's crystal first. Nothing but crystal. It lies on a bed of opal beads, innocent and clear as solid water, as ice before the ice fairies come and paint their frosting on the cold cube. The opals are every color of the rainbow, winking up at me in the dim candlelight. Or perhaps they are the rainbow. Perhaps the mighty hand that paints the rainbow a million colors has been cut, its blood raining in a thousand shining pieces caught in the innocent little jewels that the crystal lies on. Perhaps the master cried, and his tears formed these perfect spheres. But I do not contemplate the mystery of the opals. Instead I reach for the crystal.

Hey everyone... so I just wanted to let ya'll know that my father blocked deviantart on my computer... So basically I won't be faving any of your stuff or talking to you or anything for like the next few years... Although let me just say it now: I LOVE ALL YOUR STUFF. Because I'm sure it's all gorgeous. He blocked it sometime during the summer, too, so that's why I haven't been on. Thanks and I'll see you in college! ;) -Renee <3

Okay, so... I never write journals because to be frank, I don't think anyone really cares enough to read about little ol' me 'cept through my writing. But rarely I make an exception, and today is one: Today, I saw Shutter Island. It was... interesting. I disliked the nudity and the numerously occurring usage of the "f" bomb, and the part with the Nazi on the floor was realistic but a bit nauseating. However, I hesitate to call it "bad" because it wasn't. It just wasn't my style. Normally I never watch suspense/thriller movies because they're one step removed from horror movies, and I can't stand horror movies. Heck, I pee myself when I see
